General
Ludo Sync is a unified game and media launcher for Windows. It brings together your Steam, Epic, GOG, EA App, and Ubisoft Connect libraries alongside your local media collection — films and TV shows — in one sleek, controller-ready interface.
Yes — Ludo Sync requires an active internet connection to run. This is needed for account authentication, cloud features, and metadata services. Offline mode is not currently supported.
Ludo Sync supports Windows 10 and Windows 11. It works on both traditional desktop PCs and handheld Windows PCs such as the ROG Ally, MSI Claw, Legion Go, and Steam Deck running Windows.
No restrictions. Ludo Sync can detect and add games from any drive or folder on your machine. You can also manually add games from any path.
Account & Billing
Yes. The Free tier gives you either the Games Core or Media Core (your choice), access to the smart scraper, full controller navigation, built-in video player, game properties and playtime tracking, and the Sunset Orange theme — all at no cost, forever.
Pro unlocks both Games Core and Media Core simultaneously, cloud save sync with automatic backup and conflict detection, portable Export & Import, all 12 premium themes, emulator configuration for RetroArch, Dolphin, PCSX2, RPCS3 and more, and priority support.
The first 250 subscribers get Pro locked in at £3.99/month for 24 months. After the founding member slots are filled, Pro rises to the standard price of £5.99/month. Your founding member rate is guaranteed for the full 24-month lock-in period.
You keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account automatically drops to the Free tier. Your library data, game list, and scraped artwork are all retained — you just lose access to Pro-exclusive features.
Yes, you can upgrade to Pro at any time from within the app or from this website. If founding member slots are still available when you upgrade, you'll get the locked-in rate.
Games & Media
Ludo Sync auto-detects Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG Galaxy, EA App, and Ubisoft Connect. Local game files and emulated titles via RetroArch, Dolphin, PCSX2, and RPCS3 are also supported.
Game artwork is pulled from SteamGridDB and IGDB. Film and TV metadata, poster art, and hero images come from TMDB. The scraper lets you bulk-scrape your entire library or fine-tune individual titles with a visual picker.
Yes — to use the scraper you'll need to configure API keys in the Settings page. The relevant services (SteamGridDB, IGDB, TMDB) offer free API access. Instructions are provided in the Settings page within the app.
The built-in video player supports all common video formats including MKV, MP4, AVI, and MOV. It includes a full on-screen display and is fully navigable with an Xbox controller.
Export & Import (Pro)
Portable Export lets you back up your Ludo Sync library and transfer it to another Windows PC or handheld device. You choose from three tiers: Metadata Only (~1 MB), Artwork + Metadata (~2–5 MB), or a Full Library Copy that includes all game, ROM, and media files.
No. If you export using Tier 2 (Artwork + Metadata) or Tier 3 (Full Library Copy), all your scraped artwork, metadata, and settings travel with the export. The target device arrives ready to use with no re-scraping needed.
Controller Support
Any controller that uses XInput is supported — this includes Xbox controllers (wired and wireless), and most modern third-party gamepads. PlayStation controllers work when using an XInput wrapper.
Almost every screen is fully controller-navigable — including Games, Media, Scraper, Settings, and more. A small number of screens (such as the Export & Import page) currently require mouse input.
